What’s in a Name?

LDRSHIP is a mnemonic the Army uses to help soldiers learn and remember the Army Core Values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.

In our case, it refers to the values we believe are the foundation for success. We have made minor changes to the definitions from the original Army values to better suit our audience.

The DEV refers to our mission: Personal, Team, and Organizational Development.

Loyalty

Devote yourself, your effort, and your energy to what you most value; whether it is family, faith, work, friends, or community, be loyal to your commitments.

Duty

Fulfill your responsibilities and accomplish your work, individually or as part of a team, without compromise.

Respect

Treat yourself and others with dignity and respect, and expect others to do the same.

Selfless Service

Commit yourself to go the extra mile; push yourself harder to give more than is expected.

Honor

Develop honorable life habits and live up to your values in the choices you make.

Integrity

Stand for what is right, morally and legally, without deceiving others.

Personal Courage

Face fear and adversity head on; stand up for and act upon the things you know are honorable.
